One of 2 children found in hotel pool with mom dies
Provincial police put out this release late this afternoon in the latest, puzzling multiple death case in eastern Ontario:
Sources tell me that the two children and mother were found by a pool worker who had arrived to open up the locked facility for the day on Saturday morning at about 8:30 a.m. Gananoque is a small town that is roughly 30 kilometres east of Kingston, Ontario. Police in Kingston have not released any new information for roughly three weeks about the mysterious deaths of four Montreal women, three teenage sisters and a 50-year-old woman, who were found June 30 in a submerged car near a lock in the Rideau Canal system in Kingston.

Update – Daughter Dies From Injuries
(Gananoque, ON) - At approximately 5:45pm today, Kinza KAIANAD, age 14, died as a result of the injuries she sustained on Saturday, July 18 when she and her mother, 43-year-old Naila YASMIN and her 11-year-old sister were found unconscious in an in-door pool at the Best Western, Gananoque.
On Sunday, YASMIN succumbed to her injuries.
The 11-year-old daughter remains at Kingston General Hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.
Post mortems will be conducted at the Chief Coroner’s Office, Toronto tomorrow, July 21, 2009.
On July 18, 2009 investigators, led by OPP Detective Inspector Heather Kewley, Criminal Investigation Branch, launched an investigation after the Gananoque Police Service responded to the report of a possible drowning at the Best Western, King Street, Gananoque.
The investigation is continuing.
